href=\"https:\/\/www.ilr.lu\/cadre-legal\/loi-nis2\/\"><b>Act of 5 May 2026 on measures to ensure a high level of cybersecurity<\/b><\/a> (hereinafter \u201cNIS 2 Act\u201d), essential and important entities are <b>required to report significant incidents<\/b> to the competent authority.<\/li>\n<li>Are you <b>an essential or important entity under NIS 2<\/b> operating in one of the sectors supervised by the Institute? later than 24 hours<\/strong> of becoming aware of the significant incident the <strong>preliminary notification <\/strong>has to be send.<\/li>\n<li>This early warning can also be made when the impact cannot yet be defined, and the incident is potentially not significant.<\/li>\n<li>The competent authority or the CSIRT provides feedback, where possible, within 24 hours of receiving the early class=\"ilrew-content-container-description\">\n                <ul>\n<li><strong>Within 72 hours <\/strong>of becoming aware of the significant incident <strong>, the incident has to be formally notified <\/strong>updating the information provided in the early warning.<\/li>\n<li>The competent authority or the CSIRT may request interim information to stay informed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n            <\/div>\n                                <\/li>\n                            <li class=\"ilrew-content-container ilrew-content-direction-row\">\n                            <div
